History of Foundation

The South Texas Legacy Foundation was established in 2024 and in

2025 the Board of Directors changed the name officially to the South Texas Legacy Foundation to provide more programming for the community of Nueces County and South Texas. The foundation has a strategic role in honoring the life and legacy of African American leaders; developing leaders through programs; and direct services to homeless youth and young adults.

The Board of Directors work year-round to ensure the services continue with a focus on minority and low income families.

Our annual fundraiser supports the programs and community needs year-round.

This year the South Texas Legacy Foundation will have its annual premier fundraiser at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History. This venue provides history, insight and artifacts that will enhance the experience of the night's Ball.

The Black Tie Diamond Ball honors the life, legacy and accomplishments of Dr. Hall, Black History Month along with the Diamond Award presentations to our community partners.
